Katie and Brigham were married October 1st at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour WI with the reception at Brett Favre Steakhouse in Green Bay. We planned to stop at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens but it rained all day so we changed the schedule. After family photos inside the church we stepped outside and photographed the bridal party and Katie + Brigham in front of the beautiful church doors before finding a trail to stop at on the way to Green Bay.
We started our day photographing Katie gorgeous wedding dress and details. Katie's dress was purchased at Victorian Bridal in Waupaca. This was one of my favorites for 2016! I loved the lace, the buttons down her entire back, the fit looked amazing and the beautiful jewels on her collar. After that it was time for a First Look with her father Joe. I don't think Joe stopped crying all day! I know this because I just spent the last two weeks editing every photo.
When Brigham saw Katie for the first time, his reaction was priceless! I've had a few Groom's cry on their wedding day but nothing like Brigham. I even got teary seeing his reaction. The ceremony was short and sweet, ending not with a candle lighting. Instead Katie and Brigham put together a cross that they can display in their home.
At the reception Katie and Brigham surprised her parents by having the same wedding cake they had 31 years ago recreated with a modern spin. Katie also displayed a church that her Great-Grandfather made for her parents wedding. This heirloom has been used at family weddings and anniversaries over the last several years. After dinner the parents had their own dance. Brigham's parents have been married 36 years and Katie's parents married for 31 years it was truly a very special moment for the new Mr. and Mrs. to share with their parents.
