Danya and Bill met through mutual friends, one of their first dates was a Chief's football game right before Christmas. They’ve been through many moves (around KC, and the big move to Milwaukee 3 winters ago and now back to Kansas City). They have two pups together, Odin and Freya.
Danya says “He's silly and drive and makes me laugh more than anyone (super cheesy jokes this kid). Our proposal is definitely unique and a hilarious story - Bill came down with a truly awful case of the stomach flu....a trip to Urgent Care and an IV and anti-nausea medicine. We get home from urgent care and I go to clean up the bathroom (in a full hazmat suit basically), and in walks Bill after I've thoroughly bleached every single surface, and says "You know I really love you right?", and I'm thinking "You freaking better love me, I just cleaned up your puke."....then Bill gets down on one knee and holds up a Sig Sauer gun decal sticker with "Will you marry me?" written on the back. I could NOT believe he chose to propose in the middle of the worst flu of his life. It was the best, and worst weekend all at the same time. I wouldn't change our proposal for the world....it was exactly perfect, and totally us. Just at home, doing ordinary things, taking care of each other.”
After months of planning a Summer …. then Fall which turned into a Winter engagement session we finally found a date that worked and weather that somewhat cooperated ( it was freezing cold BUT no rain). When planning a Winter engagement session you either need snow on the ground to cover all the dead grass or something big in the background and bold colors in the outfit selection. The Cedarburg Covered Bridge and Danya’s red dress = PERFECTION!!
