Amy and Nick met while attending Cary-Grove High School. Amy played on the softball team and Nick played on the football team. Being athletes, they were introduced through similar friend groups. As they began to hang out more, Nick would offer to help Amy with her math homework. Eventually, Nick asked Amy out on her birthday, November 3, 2008. After high school, Amy attended Northeastern in Chicago while Nick was away at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Upon college graduation, Nick moved back home. During Amy's spring break in March 2018, they went on a ski trip to Breckenridge, CO with friends. For the last run of the day, they took the Imperial Express to the top of Peak 8, the highest ski run in North America. While posing for a picture, taking in the amazing views, Nick got down on one knee. Amy was taken by total surprise, but of course said yes. You can view their winter engagement session HERE.

WEDDING DAY

Amy and Nick got married in October at The Barn at Wagon Wheel Farm. The day started out sunny but within minutes started raining and continued to rain the rest of the evening. The Barn at Wagon Wheel Farm is a beautiful venue with so many locations for photos unfortunately the rain forced us to take photos inside the main bar after the ceremony. Amy did an amazing job coordinating all the details and vision for her wedding. The colors, florals, cake and food all turned out lovely.
