About a week before my trip to Omaha Nebraska to reconnect with some high school friends and photograph their families. I decided...at midnight (no joke!) that while I was there I'd like to photograph a styled session. I would love to start booking a couple weddings a year in different states, new venues. Honestly! Because I can't handle these Wisconsin winters. Being cooped up in my house for 4-5 months because of the snow piled 4 feet high and temps of nearly -30 degrees for 3 months has got me stir crazy!
So I went to Instagram, looking for venues or parks. I quickly found Basic Bash Events a wedding planner in Omaha Nebraska. I sent an email.. (at midnight). Which they replied to within minutes. After a couple emails, we realized that even with such short notice that we could actually pull this off! Next find a couple to model.. I asked one of my high schools.. "Hey! You know anyone newly engagement? Looking for a free engagement session? " and that's how found the adorable Beverly and Chris!
The day of the shoot we all met at Ready or Knot the bridal shop who so graciously let us walk in and borrow any dress that we wanted. We decided on the wedding dress Legends by Romona Kevez. That evening we went to Bluestem Prairie Preserve. Basic Bash Events created the cutest table setting and desserts provided by Jones Bros Cupcakes.
I just want to say a huge thank you to Basic Bash Events, Jones Bros Cupcakes, Ready or Knot and of course Beverly and Chris for working with me on such short notice. The photos look amazing and I hope to work with all these vendors again..soon!
