Two years ago I met Amanda with Pollen House Floral at CampWed, a wedding vendor retreat in just outside of Madison. We celebrated the first day of Spring by meeting at Villa Terrace Museum to photograph a few of her florals bouquets, centerpieces and boutonniere's. If you're looking for a beautiful wedding venue in Milwaukee, I HIGHLY recommend you tour Villa Terrace..and then hire me to photograph your wedding ;). I'm in love their outdoor space. Amanda and her aunt created so many beautiful arrangements! It was really hard for me to decide which photos to share! You can find her on Instagram HERE and her website will be live soon! I enjoyed photographing Amanda's work. Congrats Amanda!!

In January I photographed my first Winter wedding at Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake. Although it felt more like Spring with the amount of fog and melting snow, it was still a beautiful day for a outdoor photos. The fog created a cool background. Dayna from The Flower Gallery in Manitowoc did an amazing job with the florals, like always. I love to photograph her bouquets and reception centerpieces.

So I'm possibly the worse sister in the world! It has taken me almost 6 months to edit and deliver my sister's maternity, birth and newborn photos. Last July my sister had her first baby!! YAY!! I'm finally an Auntie...right!?! I was so excited! I spent a month in Denver in the heart of wedding season to be there for my sister. She didn't share much about her pregnancy and delivery but has allowed me to share that now

Sarah along with Brass Tack events organized a beautiful wedding event. Starting with a welcome dinner at Rudy's BBQ. Lodging and meals at Omni South Park Hotel. Hair and Make Up by Pepper Pastor Bridal. Ceremony at St. Mary's Cathedral Catholic Church in downtown Austin. Reception at Brodie Homestead. Florals by Stems Floral and the most AMAZING cake by Simon Lee Bakery. Melody Events Production kept everyone dancing. I love when couples plan destination weddings, not only do I get travel but I get to watch families and friends come together. I get to watch a Bride and Groom relax for 3 to 5 days reconnecting with those they love and enjoy more then 10 hours celebrating this new step in life.

Heidi and Tad met when Heidi started working at Tad's restaurant in Fond du Lac. Their wedding day was perfect! The weather was sunny and warm. Their ceremony was beautiful and at an amazing church. The reception venue is one my favorites! Whispering Springs Golf Course is full of natural light, wood floors and white walls. Heidi and Tad planned a Fall wedding full of fall colors and decor. White pumpkins, hay, lanterns, apples and even a caramel apple bar to end the night.

Mike and Carrie met in May of 2015. They both have many friends have luck on internet dating websites and both thought they would give it a try....and thank goodness for that because otherwise they wouldn't be here today. Their first date was at a local coffee shop in Libertyville IL and the rest is history. After asking Carrie's father for his blessing, Mike proposed to Carrie on a beautiful overlook in the middle of Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park Colorado on May 26, 2016.

Just a few photos from Mikki and Mitch's engagement session. We had to reschedule twice due to rain this October and I'm kinda glad we did!! This sunset was amazing! Rescheduling also gave Mikki extra time to plan her outfits, she purchased this beautiful dress from Hazel and Olive after I shared a link in my bridal group. I love dresses! I love when clients wear dresses!

Lucy was so excited for photos, but Ruby not so much. Ruby had no plans of looking at my camera and smiling pretty. I'm about 98% sure she suffers from "Photographer Child Syndrome". This is a very real condition ( not really) afflicting children of photographers everywhere. Caused from an overexposure to a giant "fancy" camera shoved in their general direction since birth, the symptoms include: inability to look directly at a camera..ever, unless wearing a completely unusable expression, temporary deafness, extreme wiggles and sudden fits of crying. I know all the signs, I have three children and rarely get a perfect photo of them together. That leaves sweet baby June, she's such a perfect baby. June slept the entire time! She's loves to be held, she loves her sisters annnnd she's learning to love her daddy. Erin and Adam told me that June loves her mommy but cries whenever daddy holds her.

When Katelyn and I started talking about their engagement session I offered to meet her and Jordan in Dallas in November when I traveled to Texas for wedding. I love to travel and I love to photograph new locations. We walked around White Rock Lake Park with their pup then left the dog with a babysitter aka my husband ;) while we walked around the Dallas Arboretum. The Botanical Gardens are beautiful! I loved it there! There's so much places to photograph and walk around, seriously one of my favorite gardens.

I love seeing the Whitton family every year, last year Jen and Matt added baby to the family session. This year they brought Grandpa, Grandma plus and Matt's sister Kristin and her family. Let me tell you ... photographing 6 children under 7 is not an easy task especially when it's cold but I'm so happy with the way this family extended session turned out. PLUS we made time for Ollie's signature head tilt pose.
